Care for cotton and linen bedding

CLEANSER ...best use a mild fabric wash and use ½ of the amount recommended by the manufacturer. Do not use liquid softener, bleach or any detergent containing bleach, such as color safe bleach or bluing agent on colored linens, we like Ivory Snow or Woolite.
WASHING ...separate light and dark colors, gentle cycle, using cold or warm temperature, NOT HOT, small to medium load, never wash with towels, jeans, polyester garments or any other items that can scour the surface of the fabric and can cause pilling.
DRYING ...tumble dry in moderate temperature, never dry linens completely, remove when still damp. As these linens are made out of very fine yarns, heat is their biggest enemy, once over dried, the fiber become brittle and lifeless, their softness lessened.
IRONING ...it’s easy to iron linens while it’s still damp, use starch (if desired) to get crisp look, and iron with lots of steam at medium-to-hot setting. The ironing will make the linens softer and maintain the beauty and look of the design. If you don’t like to iron, remove your linens promptly and use your finger to smooth the fabric and fold.
SHRINKAGE ...occurs with all linens made of natural fibers, the sizing of our bedding allows for shrinkage. To minimize shrinkage, avoid washing in hot temperature and over drying.
STOREAGE ...clean your linens, then use bags of linen or cotton, acid free tissue paper to wrap your linens and store in a cool, dry and good ventilated area. Never store linens in plaster bags, cedar chests or cardboard boxes, these cause yellowing of the linens.

Care for silk or Upholstery bedding

AIRING ...silk or Upholstery bedding should be periodically aired-out (preferably once in every 3 months to release the moisture absorbed), in an open and well ventilated area but avoid direct sunlight. Airing out will help silk comforter stay fluffy and restore its softness.
DRY CLEAN ...if cleaning silk or Upholstery bedding becomes absolutely necessary, use a professional dry cleaner.
IRONING ...after airing out silk or Upholstery bedding, iron the pillow and duvet covers, quilt with medium-to-hot setting, this will restore them to the freshness and beauty of the design.
MAINTAINING ...keep silk or Upholstery bedding away from cosmetic, perfumes, hairspray and deodorants, the alcohol in these products can dissolve silk, perspiration can weaken silk and the stain can be difficult to remove.
STOREAGE ...use bags of linen or cotton, acid free tissue paper to wrap your bedding and store in a cool, dry and good ventilated area. Never store bedding in plaster bags, cedar chests or cardboard boxes, these cause yellowing of the bedding.
